Why hello there.

I’m not sure why, but I seem to be very Star Wars-y lately. Maybe I’m just excited for the new movie coming out next weekend. Something about Pedro Pascal… something, something.

Back to reality and instead…

A post all about me, how very exciting.

Yes this is an extra special blog edition to celebrate the absolutely fabulous thing that is me.

Today is the day I entered this world, by means which do not need to ever be discussed out loud.

Since that moment I have successfully, (well that’s up for discussion) revolved around the sun for 48 years.

But Moomins, there’s more, even better than that, this very blog is celebrating its own milestone.

One year old today.

A year ago today, having decided that come hell or high water, I would be uprooting my life to travel Australia and so…

This beautiful blog was born.

What started as a way to inform friends and family of the absolute craziness involved has morphed into an Instagram and Facebook page with over 1,500 followers and a growing but dedicated number of readers.

Originally what was a way to record the battle of wits between the bureaucracy and sometimes downright madness of both Germany and Australia, seems to have now become my living journal.

A place to share what I see, the people I meet and most importantly how I am feeling. It sure is a rollercoaster.

A space to share sometimes  my darkest fears and most of all my happiest moments.

So here’s to me and most importantly to all of you, whether you have been here from day one or are just finding me now, thanks to each and every one one of you.

All that’s left is for me to now go out and celebrate.

That’s right, I’m going shopping, because what small space is left in Jean Claude absolutely needs to be filled with trainers.
